What we actually do
Damn Good Interiors is an interior design studio in Denver, Colorado, working in both residential and hospitality. The studio is at Fabrica, on Brighton Boulevard in RiNo. Most of our work is in Denver and along the Front Range, including Boulder, Longmont, Broomfield, Centennial, and Castle Rock. The rest is out of state, and we take those when the project earns the travel.
On the residential side that means full remodels, new builds, and refreshes, taken from the first concept through the final install. Layout, millwork, lighting, finishes, furniture, and the drawings and schedules your contractor needs to build it without guessing. It starts with a call, and then a feasibility study: what your space, your budget, and your timeline can actually carry, before anyone falls in love with a drawing.
On the hospitality side it means restaurants, bars, hotels, and the occasional project that does not have a category yet. Those start with the same feasibility study, and it tells you what your occupant load, your code jurisdiction, and your lease will allow, before you sign anything. The least glamorous stretch of the process, and the one that saves the most money.

Eli Hariton is the founder and principal of Damn Good Interiors, an interior design studio in Denver, Colorado. He works across both sides of the practice: kitchen and bath design, full remodels and new builds on the residential side; restaurants, bars and hotels on the hospitality side, across Denver, the Front Range and eight states.
He spent 8 years in hospitality, 5 of them at ownership level, running restaurants in New York before moving into design. He has run the kind of room he now designs, and knows what it has to survive on a Saturday night. In 2015, before the studio existed, Zagat named him to its 30 Under 30 as a hospitality operator.
In 2021 he was one of eight designers cast nationally on HGTV’s Design Star: Next Gen, and one of its three finalists. 5280 profiled him the same year, and Modern in Denver featured the studio in Spring 2024. He has since led Damn Good Interiors to ten NKBA Peak and Crystal Award placements, including first place for kitchen, bath and specialty rooms.
As a graduate of Michigan State University, Melissa started her career as a Mechanical Engineer in Detroit’s automotive hub, but craved something more creative. While spending her spare time building houses in video games, she realized her true passion for interior design. She moved to Denver to pursue her dreams and graduated from Heritage School of Interior Design in 2023.
She has an affinity for bold colors, unique shapes and patterns, and storytelling through antiques and one-of-a-kind pieces. Her hobbies include painting, embroidery, gardening, cooking, and being an extreme animal lover.
Colorado to Texas and then back to Colorado, Gillian has several years of experience in hospitality design. She has designed hotels, restaurants and bars from Texas to Colorado and beyond. During college, Gillian was nominated as one of 25 undergraduate interior designers for Metropolis Magazine’s Future 100 and is pursuing her NCIDQ licensure.
She believes what makes a space great is warmth and curated charm that tells the story of the building or the people that occupy it. When not designing or spending time with her golden retriever Broccoli and her cat Stevie Nicks, Gillian loves to paint, thrift, hike and enjoy everything that Colorado has to offer.
