Look, we get it. Designing a home isn't exactly a walk in the park. Unless that park had a bear in it - that'd probably be more accurate. We know that traditional design approaches can be stressful, isolating and even restrictive at times. We know because we've seen it happen time and time again.
So, we decided to take a more hospitality approach to residential design - and that starts with you. We believe that having a hand in the creation of your home makes it 10x more special. That's why we encourage collaboration from the get-go.
Then again, if you're happy for us to take your vision and run with it - we'll do just that. You can kick back and relax.
Plus, everyone's going to be like, "Woah, where'd they get that awesome checkered kitchen tiling? Damn it, Lloyd, their kitchen looks better than ours, we need to redo the condo."
How we do things around here

Sit down and buckle up, we're about to create something wonderful.
Each project begins by talking with one of our experienced designers who will explore your unique tastes to design warm and beautiful spaces that reflect your quirks 'n perks.
By the end of this phase, you'll have a clear idea of what your project could look like and feel confident about moving forward.
Here's what you'll get:
- Initial documentation: Existing Plan, Demo Plan, Proposed Plan, Reflected Ceiling Plan (RCP), and Plumbing Plan
- Initial scope of work
- Budget estimate for materials
- Design phase agreement
Along with labor estimates from builders, you'll have all of the pieces to give you a high-level overview of your project budget and set us up perfectly for the next phase.
Personalize
You plan to live here, right? So, get involved! Your ideas and insights are what will make your house a home.
We'll use the budget estimate from the initial phase to guide our choices for materials, making sure we stay within your budget. Once we finalize these selections, we'll refine the 3D model, update the plans with detailed annotations, and prepare the final documentation for the builders.
From here, we'll create and provide you with the final documentations, including:
- The Existing Plan, Demo Plan, Proposed Plan, RCP, Electrical Plan and Plumbing Plan, Detailed Elevations, Renderings, Schedules, Specification Binder(s)
- Final scope of work document
- And the final budget
Once all material and labor selections are within the budget, we'll start purchasing the materials, focusing primarily on finishes. While we might have begun buying certain high-value or long-lead items earlier, the majority of the purchasing will happen after you approve and are happy with the final designs.
We'll also coordinate with builders we know and love (or you know and love) to get accurate labor estimates to give you a realistic project budget and peace of mind.

This is where the fun begins.
With a clear plan and budget in place, it's time to bring your vision to life. At this stage, we'll have all design details ready and will work closely with your builder weekly to ensure everything goes to plan until you move in.
We'd advocate weekly check-ins throughout the project duration to review
achievements from the previous week and address upcoming milestones on the build schedule.

How much does a kitchen remodel cost in Denver? ↗
Full kitchen remodels in Denver generally land between $80,000 and $250,000 all in, a small refresh at the low end and a luxury remodel at the high one. Design fees run no more than 10% of that, so you can estimate ours against whatever you have in mind for the build. The spread comes down to whether you're moving plumbing and gas, and whether the cabinetry is stock, semi-custom, or built for the room.
How long does a whole-home remodel take in Denver? ↗
A 3,000 square foot whole-home remodel usually runs 6 to 8 months of construction, and a 5,000 square foot one 10 to 16 months. Design runs 4 to 6 months before any of that starts, and procurement overlaps it. Lead times drive the rest more than anything we control, so we order long-lead items early and a single sofa doesn't hold the house hostage.
Do you work with our contractor, or bring your own? ↗
Either. We work with your GC if you have one you trust, and we'll recommend Denver contractors we've built with if you don't. Either way we handle the drawings, the schedules, and the coordination, so you aren't the one translating between trades on a Tuesday night.

Denver proper plus the Front Range, including Cherry Creek, Wash Park, the Highlands, Greenwood Village, Cherry Hills Village, Littleton, Lakewood, Arvada, Golden, and Boulder. If you're a reasonable drive from our RiNo studio, we're interested.
Do I need a permit to remodel a kitchen in Denver? ↗
Usually yes. Denver Community Planning and Development generally requires permits for work that moves plumbing, gas, or electrical, or that touches structure. Cosmetic swaps often don't. We confirm what your specific scope triggers during feasibility, because finding out mid-demo is the expensive version.
What's the difference between an interior designer and a decorator? ↗
A decorator selects finishes and furnishings for a space as it exists. A designer changes the space itself: layout, millwork, lighting, and how the rooms connect, coordinated with the trades who build it. We do the second one. The first one is included, it's just not the job.
